Oakley’s latest series, Inner Spark, dives into this journey, spotlighting the raw emotions and personal victories of top athletes like Kylian Mbappé, Alexia Putellas, Fred Kerley, and Cassandre Beaugrand.

Through a series of captivating short films, Oakley presents the highs and lows, the doubts and triumphs, showcasing how conquering the mind paves the way to greatness.

Inner Spark is a vivid chapter in Oakley’s “Be Who You Are” campaign. These films offer an unfiltered look at world-class athletes, blending images of their external performances with skeletal visuals symbolizing their “inner spark.”

It’s an artistic take on the profound connection between mental resilience and athletic excellence.

“In sports, most people believe it is all about victories and medals. At Oakley, we believe that the real battles lie inside each and every athlete.

There is only them, with their fears, fatigues, failures, and values and this little inner spark that makes you to be you,” said Caio Amato, Oakley Chief Marketing Officer.

“We want to inspire kids to be fully themselves, with no filter nor holding back. Because if you won the game within, every game is yours to win.”

Narrated by Kylian Mbappé, the films drive home a powerful message: “You’ve already won without an arena, pool, or pitch.”

This underscores that true victory springs from overcoming internal challenges. It’s a call to play with authenticity, shake things up, and embrace one’s true self unapologetically.

Inner Spark also brings to light the unseen stories of Team Oakley athletes from diverse sports.

From surfers like Kanoa Igarashi and Caroline Marks to golfers Paris Hilinski and Dylan Frittelli, and track stars Andre De Grasse and Joseph Fahnbulleh, each athlete’s journey is laid bare, revealing the true essence of their inner battles and triumphs.

The collection’s design mirrors this theme of inner strength. Inspired by the human nervous system, its organic patterns and bold colour combinations break the mould, encouraging new beginnings.
