With just a couple of weeks to go before the deadline for registrations, TrekFest – The Peaks organisers Global Adventure Challenges are offering a 25% discount on registration fees for anyone looking to take on the UK trekking challenge in 2019.
Taking place on Saturday 31 August in the Peak District National Park, TrekFest – The Peaks is an adventure-filled challenge with 25km and 50km distances available. Both routes start in the heart of the Peak District, in the beautiful Hope Valley.
The 25km route covers part of the Ladybower reservoir, while the 50km route summits Kinder Scout – the highest point in the Peak District, Derbyshire and the East Midlands! With full support from the experienced TrekFest Crew, the event is suitable for beginner and expert trekkers alike and all taking part are encouraged to raise funds for the UK charity of their choice.
Complimentary camping is included for participants plus access to the TrekFest Village, complete with a bar and chill out tepee – perfect for soaking up the pre and post event atmosphere. Those taking part will also receive a post-trek hot meal, finisher’s medal and t-shirt and even a complimentary massage, and are encouraged to bring their friends and family along for support and to make a weekend of it!
Company Director at Global Adventure Challenges, Peter Robinson, said: “TrekFest attracts participants of all ages and levels of trekking experience – it is a truly incredible event! After an amazing TrekFest event in the Brecon Beacons in early July, places on The Peaks are filling fast so we’d encourage anyone tempted to take the plunge and register now!”
“Every year we’re inspired by the sense of camaraderie and support between trekkers, so whether you’re signing up by yourself or as a team with friends, family or colleagues you’ll be supported every step of the way by your fellow participants as well as our awesome TrekFest Crew!”
