Meet The Shaolin Master At Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou

 

Discover a world of wellness in The Spa at Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake this autumn with its new spa visiting wellness master - Shi Xing Mi (Walter Gjergja).

The Spa’s 2019 Visiting Wellness Masters program offers several unique experiences from energy healing and watsu water therapy to Kung Fu yoga and mindfulness. A series of visiting wellness experts will help guests rediscover themselves to achieve a more balanced and present state of mind, body and spirit.

It is not only a spa that offers treatments but a place where we encourage a healthy lifestyle by guiding each guest to a state of greater wellness,” comments Assistant Director of Spa Miya Zhang. “Hence the Visiting Wellness Master’s Program, which includes experienced visiting practitioners with unique qualifications and skills who offer a wide range of special treatments throughout the year.”

As part of this program, Master Shi Xing Mi welcomes visitors and locals alike for special sessions for the season.

Shi Xing Mi: Kung Fu Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness, September 25 – October 4, 2019

Shi Xing Mi (Walter Gjergja) has studied Kung Fu from the age of 13 and Shaolin philosophy since 18. He is one of the very few real western Shaolin Sujiadizi Wuseng. He will be providing a unique mix of knowledge, wisdom and practical experiences consisting of four different sessions.

Meditation Session (7:30 to 8:30 am)

Meditation is an ancient practice that can improve memory, mood, sleep and creativity. Awaken the body by Shaolin meditation, Qigong and Chi breathing practice for improving overall health conditions. Recommended for beginners.

  • 50 minutes - CNY 1,000 per person

  • Group Session - 50 minutes - CNY 750 per person (minimum of 3 guests)

Physical Training Session (10:30 am to 12:00 noon)

Enhance physical fitness, strength and endurance to challenge and elevate fitness abilities for optimal physical performance and conditioning. Recommended for experienced practitioners.

  • 80 minutes - CNY 1,300 per person

  • Group Session - 80 minutes - CNY 1,200 per person (minimum of 3 guests)

Yoga and Stretching Session (4:30 to 5:30 pm)

Yoga helps to improve strength, flexibility and energy levels while stretching will help to release muscle tension and pains for complete rejuvenation. Recommended for experienced practitioners.

  • 50 minutes - CNY 1,000 per person

  • Group Session - 50 minutes - CNY 750 per person (minimum of 3 guests)

Mindfulness Practice Session (8:30 to 10:00 pm)

Enhance emotional wellbeing and mental outlook through spiritual detox that prevents adrenal fatigue by applying the Shaolin philosophy of mindfulness practice. Recommended for beginners.

  • 80 minutes - CNY 1,300 per person

  • Group Session - 80 minutes - CNY 1,200 per person (minimum of 3 guests)
