Nuffield Health and Gympass Sign Partnership Deal

Nuffield Health scaled

With the health and wellbeing of the nation being clearly prioritised in this week’s roadmap, Nuffield Health signs deal which will see its connected health services made available to the consumer and corporate marketplace via Gympass’ platform.

All of Nuffield Health’s 112 fitness and wellness centres will be listed on Gympass’ 360-degree platform during phase one of the partnership.

Nuffield Health will also become Gympass’ preferred corporate healthcare partner, and phase two will see the two organisations collaborate in the corporate healthcare space.

Nuffield Health’s onsite and networked clinical services, which include primary care, emotional wellbeing, physiotherapy and health assessments, will be offered to more employees across the UK via Gympass.

In addition to this the brand-new Nuffield Health 24/7 app – which offers over 200 fitness and emotional wellbeing classes – will be integrated into Gympass Wellness, a collection of fitness and wellbeing apps, housed on the Gympass platform.

Available globally (web and app), the Gympass platform provides a full range of clinically approved material including on-demand workouts and classes, physiotherapy, and restorative meditative programmes.

Gympass and Nuffield Health began their relationship in 2018 working together to drive more visits to Nuffield Health’s fitness and wellbeing centres in Reading and Derby.

Over the last two years, the UK’s largest healthcare charity has continued to add more of its fitness and wellbeing centre locations to the Gympass platform, which can be accessed by millions of employees from some of the UK’s largest companies including Tesco, Santander and Uber.

It is this success, along with their shared ambition to help more people to become fitter, healthier, happier and stronger, which has seen the relationship go from strength to strength and led to the new partnership deal.

As the UK’s largest healthcare charity, what makes Nuffield Health unique is their network of health and wellbeing services capable of helping people in a huge variety of ways.

Only Nuffield Health has the wide-ranging expertise to provide connected healthcare spanning from personal training and health MOTs to supporting people on their fitness journeys, helping patients recover with physiotherapy or emotional wellbeing counselling, or providing hospital treatments for illness and serious conditions like arthritis or cancer.

They are uniquely positioned to provide convenient and accessible wellbeing services, either at work, at home or in the community.

“Nuffield Health is a fantastic partner for Gympass. We know from our corporate client relationships that employers are looking to support their workforce with a complete wellbeing solution and our partnership will go beyond access to bricks and mortar fitness facilities,” says Eamon Lloyd, Senior Director and Head of Partnerships at Gympass.

“Adding Nuffield Health to our platform significantly enhances our existing 2500-strong network of facilities, offering greater choice to the employees of our corporate customers.”

“Working with Gympass provides us with an exciting opportunity to help us achieve our overarching goal, to build the health of the nation” says Kevin Thomson, Corporate Healthcare Director of Nuffield Health.

“This is a coming together of two of the biggest players in the corporate health and wellbeing space.

Currently we offer a range of direct services to circa 1600 corporate clients, these services include a varied mix of preventive and primary care services, and with Gympass we have bold ambitions to ensure our corporate healthcare services reach more employees than ever before.”
