Golfers of all ages, both new to the sport or well experienced, will find a choice of ways to enjoy the stunning Manele Golf Course at Four Seasons Resort Lanai, featuring ocean views on all 18 holes.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, one of the most highly-acclaimed golf courses in the Hawaiian Islands, boasts a magnificent routing that plays along lava outcroppings and rugged oceanside cliffs. New programs and lessons offer technology, equipment and entertainment to golfers and those new to the sport.
Lanai Unlimited Golf Experience: Imagine a place where tee time is anytime and every hole has an ocean view. And then imagine it offers unlimited golfing and club rental. Paradise has a name and it is Manele Golf Course.
Discover a total golf escape at a resort with its own island with the Lanai Unlimited Golf experience – all the golf guests can fit in, cart/club rental and two sleeves of golf balls too, offered at an additional USD 400 per guest, per night.
Offer is available on all room types through December 20, 2019 (excluding September 17 to October 5, 2019 aeration); two-night minimum required.
Swing ‘n Stroll: Ditch the cart for an afternoon round of golf on the Manele front nine. It wasn’t until the 1960s that golf carts were meandering along the greens. Before that, for hundreds of years, golfers walked their courses.
It’s said that golfers learn the nuances of the course when walking as it gives them a different vantage point, which makes for better play. In addition, it’s a great cardio workout. There are even some studies suggesting walking the course helps improve scores. And did anyone mention the gorgeous sunsets? Complimentary pull carts available. Walk rate is USD 95 for front nine after 3:00 pm.
Trackman Clinics: While many guests come to Lanai to “unplug,” they’ll find the latest technology at the golf course ready to help them improve and shine a new light on their swings and equipment. With the help of industry-leading technology, golfers can learn how Trackman can aid in fine tuning their swings in a new series of complimentary clinics.
Each Thursday the Resort features sessions with TrackMan 4, the industry leader in swing and ball flight analysis. Trackman 4’s Dual Radar Technology uses two radar systems instead of one to obtain maximum data quality and increased pick up rates.
Experience a session on the putting green each Wednesday using Trackman to help with green reading, start line and tempo. Get fitted for a driver using Trackman technology to fine tune proper loft and shaft flex each Friday. Lessons also available by appointment utilising Trackman technology.
Mini-Manele: Fun for families or golfers who want to casually get a few more swings in on a gorgeous afternoon. Every Wednesday afternoon the Manele Golf Driving Range transforms into Mini-Manele, offering guests a complimentary, 6 hole, par-3 course right on the practice facility.
Enjoy stunning ocean views of Hulopoe Bay and Puupehe, listen to music and hit a few balls with friends and family. Great for players of all abilities; holes range from 30 to 90 yards.
As PGA Director of Golf Scott Ashworth says, “Manele Golf Course should be at the top of every golfer’s bucket list when visiting Hawaii. It’s the ultimate Hawaiian golf experience and one of the most beautiful and scenic golf courses in the world!”
And don’t miss these favourites:
Sunset Nine: Play a quick nine and enjoy a savoury cocktail while playing or afterward watching the sun go down. Every day after 3:00 pm, USD 175 a person. Bring along a non-golfing partner for the ride and view.
Juniors Play Free: Get them hooked early, with a complimentary green fee after 12:00 noon for kids 17 and under when they play with a paid adult. The rental clubs are free, too.
Golf 101: If teeing it up is on the bucket list, this program is perfect for those new to golf – and those who have never played before. Enjoy a casual but complete introduction to the game courtesy of the Resort’s staff of PGA certified instructors.
Each session includes everything guests want to know to get rolling in golf: a review of the scorecard, a 30-minute swing lesson on the range, discussion of basic golf etiquette, playing one hole on the Manele Golf Course, even a tour of the golf retail shop – all designed to take the guesswork out of the game. The cost is USD 200 (single) or USD 350 (for two).
