In celebration of Global Wellness Day Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC has partnered with Race to Beat Cancer 5k, recharj and Tata Harper Skincare to provide stress-free ways for DC residents and hotel guests to power up for the fast pace of Washington, DC.
For the fifth consecutive year, Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC celebrates Global Wellness Day on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
This social movement celebrated in 100 countries across the globe is entirely non-profit and reminds the entire world of the importance of living well, encompassing everything from exercise and beauty treatments, spiritual teachings and ways of thinking, to the harmony between body and spirit.
Marathon runner, tri-athlete and Four Seasons Regional Vice President and General Manager, David Bernand, leads the way in the Hotel’s commitment to health and wellness. “DC has consistently been ranked as one of America’s fittest cities, and we actively strive to embrace that high standard of wellness at Four Seasons.
We know that both our guests and employees lead busy lives, and at times it can be difficult to remember the importance of self-care.
Global Wellness Day allows us all the chance to pause and think about the value of our personal wellbeing, and provides motivation to continue good habits for the rest of the year.”
This year, Four Seasons Hotel Washington DC has partnered with Race to Beat Cancer to launch their first training run of the season leading up to the 39th annual 5K race on September 14, 2019. The race will be especially important this year as hotel employees will be racing in honor of their colleague, Head Concierge Julie Saunders, who lost her battle with cancer in December 2018.
Following the 30 minute training run, participants will enjoy a 45 minute yoga and meditation class by recharj®. A local DC modern meditation and power nap studio, recharj® is a leader in the Health & Wellness space, promoting meditation, resiliency, and sleep health to business professionals.
Tata Harper will be offering Mini Facials in The Spa, providing participants with skin care tips and good practices to use at home featuring their new, organic cleansing line. Learn how to treat your skin to spa level care in only 10 minutes a day at home.
Four Seasons Hotel Washington DC’s celebratory roster is an exciting one with self-care activities planned for the entire day. Advanced registration is not required but recommended for participation, and events are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. Guests are invited to join the Race to Beat Cancer training run, attend meditation and Yoga class, sweat it out in the Zumba class, and enjoy healthy food and beverage offerings.
