Celebrate Living Well On #GlobalWellnessDay at Four Seasons Dallas Resort And Club Dallas At #LasColinas

 

Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas will offer a day of complimentary wellness activities and fitness classes on June 8, 2019. Global Wellness Day is an entirely not-for-profit day, a social project dedicated to living well. The purpose of Global Wellness Day is to ask the question, even if for just one day, “How can I live a healthier and better life?”, to direct the thoughts of both individuals and society towards “living well” and to raise awareness.

n partnership with Athleta, Eminence Organic Skin Care, Vita Coco and FarmHouse Fresh, the Resort is offering the following line up of events:

7:00 am | Sunrise Yoga 
Start your day with a beautiful yoga session as the sun rises at our Family Pool.

8:00 am - 12:00 pm | Retail Trunk Show with Athleta
Discover the latest in seasonal athleisure wear trends from Athleta Preston Oaks at the pop up retail trunk show in the Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club. Don't miss the raffle, with prizes throughout the day.

8:00 am | Tai Chi 
Increase balance and flexibility with this graceful, stress-relieving Tai Chi session on the Terrace Lawn taught by certified instructor Susan Franks. Susan is not only a master at Tai Chi, she also is a Well & Being Spa massage therapist specializing in Thai Massage.

8:30 am | Guided Walking Tour on TPC Four Seasons 
Step onto the award winning golf course and Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary to learn about the Resort's environmental efforts, water conservation and wildlife habitats on property courtesy of Anthony Williams, director of golf course and landscape operations.

8:30 am | AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga
Discover the power, excitement and pure joy of moving freely in all directions of open space with Meg Plotsky, Four Seasons group exercise coordinator and certified AntiGravity® Fitness instructor. Through this step-by-step technique, participants will learn everything needed to flip, swing and fly through space without even noticing it's a work out. Lean in and learn the art of letting go while activating feelings of strength and synchronicity. 

9:00 am | Global Wellness Conditioning
Get set for a brilliant all-around conditioning session. This total body workout incorporates high energy aerobic cardio moves with various strength training techniques.

9:30 am | Hip Hop Class with Special Guest Tamara Jenkins
Sweat it out in a choreographed Hip Hop class with special guest Tamara Jenkins, founder and team director of FC Dallas Girls, one of the hottest dance teams in major league soccer. Tamara is one of 75 exclusive NIKE Training Club ambassadors and spent many years as a NIKE Rockstar Dance Instructor. Additionally, she was a trainer for Jay Johnson's Boot Camp Fitness, the official trainers of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. 

10:00 am | Group Cycle
Join an expert instructor for an indoor cycling class to get your heart pumping, legs burning and muscles toned in the SpinRGY Studio.

10:00 am | Peak Performance
Work hard at this high voltage class to maximize strength, agility and stamina. Anything and everything is fair game in this total body conditioning class!

10:30 am | Pilates
Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, this class combines discipline and flexibility with emphasis on core and trunk stabilization. 

11:30 am | Power Yoga
This mind/body class is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where participants fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting breathing to individual movements.

2:00 pm | Nutrition Fundamentals with Four Seasons Personal Trainer Brian Morse
With over 20 years of experience, Brian will coach attendees on measured habit based nutrition that will provide lasting long term results. Brian will also walk participants through proteins, vegetables, healthy fats, smart carbs, building a meal and eating foods slowly.

3:00 pm | AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga

4:00 pm | Body Mechanics with Physical Therapist Dr. Amanda Kayser
Dr. Amanda Kayser is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Neurologic Certified Specialist and has experience in acute, subacute and outpatient settings providing orthopedic and neuromuscular rehabilitation spanning pediatric through geriatric populations. In this session, Dr. Kayer will bring participants into the world of body awareness (the way we move during every day activities) while teaching helpful tips on how to prevent or correct physical injuries.

7:00 pm | Yoga Nidra with Meg Plotsky
Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. It offers a space to explore what is needed in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions. While Meg rests comfortably in savasana (corpse pose), this systematic meditation takes participants through the pancha maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness and ready for a good night's sleep.
